FACIAL SURGERY GUIDE

Rhinoplasty in Albania: what to check before deciding

Rhinoplasty should not start with “I want this nose.” It should start with what you want to change, how you breathe and what proportions work on your face.

01

First define what you want to change

A hump, tip, width, deviation and asymmetry are different problems. Ask the surgeon which parts of your nose they would change and which they would leave alone.

02

Appearance and breathing should be assessed together

If you have breathing problems, deviation or previous trauma, function belongs in the assessment. A prettier nose that breathes worse is not a good result.

03

The nose should be planned together with the proportions of your face

Photos and simulations can help align expectations, but they are not a guarantee. Agree on realistic proportions rather than trying to copy somebody else’s nose.

The most useful before-and-after cases are the ones similar to yours

Look for cases with anatomy, skin and starting problem similar to yours. A beautiful result on a completely different nose tells you little about what is realistic for you.

04

Recovery is longer than social media makes it look

Bruising and early swelling improve first, but the nose keeps changing for months. Final refinement can take a long time, especially at the tip.

05

4 questions to clarify with your surgeon

What would you change in my nose and why?

Does breathing need to be corrected at the same time?

What limitations do you see in my case?

When can I travel and when should I expect a reasonably stable result?

Before surgery, 4 things must be clear

What will change, what will not change, how breathing will be managed and what the realistic recovery timeline and limits are. A simulation can help discuss the goal, but the decision must be based on the real surgical plan.

BEFORE YOU DECIDE

Are you considering rhinoplasty?

You can request an assessment even if you do not yet have a surgical proposal. If you are starting from zero, we begin with what you want to improve. If you have photos and a surgical proposal, we can help you understand which changes are planned, whether function has been considered and how the pathway is organised before and after surgery.

Request an assessment

This guide is for general information and does not replace an in-person consultation with a qualified plastic surgeon. Indication, technique, risks and recovery must be assessed individually.
